THE HISTORY BEHIND
LIMA FAMILY FARMS

The success of the farm dates to 2007 when John Lima and his wife, Kathy purchased 206 acres of land. Initially, the farm consisted exclusively of cows as the couple also ran a civil engineering and construction management company in Ivyland, PA. John’s passion for people and the environment quickly grew into a mission to feed the local community with sustainable and delicious foods.

Our neighbors now know us best for our kid-friendly farm, affectionate animals, knowledgeable staff, pastured pork, fresh chickens, free-range eggs and 100% grass-fed beef.

We participate in opportunities that support our mission in providing healthy foods to the community. Check out our recent contribution, 400 lbs. of pork, distributed to two schools in South Jersey that are starting a new Farm-to-School pilot program to encourage children to eat healthy local foods.
